These are the bones of an interrupted dream. The Zebulon project was an attempt to field a motor-sailing vessel designed from the keel up as a dedicated, self-sufficient transport for humanitarian teams providing aid to coastal communities. Sadly, though construction began, the project stalled after the health of the visionary leading the project, Loren Murphy, failed. After nearly a decade of unsuccessful attempts to restart the project, Mursea Missions, the charitable organization facilitating the project, made the agonizing decision to put the hull up for sale.
We intend to make Loren's dream live again in the form of MSV Seraphim. Our intent is to purchase this hull, update it to modern standards, and finish it out as an eco-friendly platform to transport our training teams. Additionally, disaster relief was built into the hull, and the vessel boasts a large cargo hold and over 40,000 liters of freshwater tankage as well as the capacity to produce an additional 10,000 liters per day. This makes the vessel ideally suited to provide on-site humanitarian aid in the aftermath of disasters.

Since ancient times, the members of a ship's first crew have been referred to as Plank Owners. You can continue that tradition today by specifically designating your donation as a contribution towards the construction and outfitting of the Motor-Sailing Vessel Seraphim. Doing so not only helps a great cause, but also ensures that your name is etched into the very hull of Seraphim, as well as unlocking access to exlusive Plank Owner merchandise!
